Background and History
SSE, Inc. is a professional special systems consulting and design team. SSE, Inc. started business in 1994 to fill a void that existed in the building construction and design process. Our service drastically reduced change orders delays related to special systems by:
- Providing a complete and comprehensive special systems design for the complete project site, building and/or campus
- Providing coordination during the design process between architectural, electrical, structural, HVAC and other disciplines for more cohesive special systems
- Encouraging critical IT personnel and other owner representatives to be part of design process relating to special systems
- Facilitating coordination and communication between building trades, installers and vendors during construction and installation
- Monitoring the project construction to assure the communications were meeting the contract document requirements
- Being open to field suggestions by having a clear understanding of the construction process and how field conditions can contradict contract documents
- Being diligent about documenting changes to the contract documents by tracking and documenting changes made during the construction process and with written reports and photographs
